Chemotherapy for oral cancer

For the treatment of chemotherapy cancers, anti-cancer drugs like Cisplatin are used. It is useful when there is a high grade of cancer and has spread to other organs.

DNA damage these cancer cells to cancer cells or prevent them by multiplying them to kill them. Common side effects include:

  • An increasing trend of getting an infection

New drugs are done against oral cancer. Among them, remarkable Cetuximab is used in advanced cases of mouth cancer. It is usually used in conjunction with radiotherapy or chemotherapy.

And this type of treatment involves selective cancer cells, thus related to low chemotherapy side effects.
